Muzoracle: The Tarot of Music

Greetings traveler—and welcome to Muzoracle, a tool for engaging the imagination and intuition through music and story. In the Table of Contents at left, you'll see the Beginnings, Layout, and Interpretation sections—they tell you how to cast and interpret the oracle using the indexes that follow. Beyond that, the In Depth pages explore the elements of the system in greater detail. For the truly adventurous, the Mechanics to Metaphor pages dig into the system's underlying cosmology; and the Deeper Yet and Further Still pages go, well, deeper yet and further still.

While you're here, please do check out the how-to videos in the red sidebar at left. The Muzoracle can appear dense and daunting at first glance—watching the videos, you'll see that it's simple to get started, and just fine to keep it simple, if you like. Also in the sidebar is a download link for Muzoracle Mythopoetics: A User's Guide. It's pretty much everything you'll find on this site in searchable book form. The Muzoracle itself, along with its cards and dice and carrying pouches, includes a printed Quick Reference as well—in it are basic instructions plus very abbreviated indexes, perfect for the quick memory jog.

The Muzoracle was created and developed—and is ever being developed—by composer and recording artist J S Kingfisher (Jeff.) He casts the oracle with clients at his studio in California's Coachella Valley, often alongside Swenakailo, a sound immersion technique he developed that intertwines with the Muzoracle experience. (Casting with Jeff is less "getting a reading" and more "guided self-counseling": it's an empowering experience. Swenakilo puts you in the center of composition unfolding, and can be very healing.) Jeff also casts for clients via Skype, and occasionally lectures and leads workshops. Please feel free to book some time with him, and sign up for the email list or follow one of our social media links to stay posted.
